The monastery
After sunrise descends the mountain and visit St. Catherine’s Monastery located at the base of the mountain.
St Catherine’s Monastery is one of the most famous in the world, built between 527 and 565 AD.
it is believed to be built around Moses’ Burning Bush.
The Monastery is named after St Catherine who was tortured and beheaded for her Christian beliefs.

During your visit Mount Sinai Tour, you will see the Greek Orthodox Church, the icons of worship and the famous Mosaic of Transfiguration.

The monastery houses the Chapel of the Burning Bush, said to be the site where Moses saw the burning bush.
Priceless works of art, monastery icons and one of the most important collections of illuminated manuscripts in the world are all housed in the monastery complex
